Pupil Premium at The Trinity Catholic School
At Trinity we believe every child deserves an equal chance to excel in their education. The Pupil Premium is a government initiative designed to ensure just that, providing additional funding to schools to support students who may face financial challenges. Eligibility includes children who are entitled to free school meals, those in care, and those with parents serving in the armed forces.
How do we utilize this support? We’re dedicated to enhancing your child’s learning experience in multiple ways:
Subsidies for Educational Trips and Cultural Events: Pupil Premium enables us to subsidise educational trips and cultural events, ensuring that no child misses out on these enriching experiences due to financial constraints. These experiences are crucial in a child’s access to the curriculum, inspiring students and broadening horizons.
Access to Essential Educational Resources: We invest in additional educational resources tailored to individual needs. From textbooks to digital tools and learning aids, every child benefit from a diverse range of resources that support their academic journey.
Instrumental Lessons and Enrichment Activities: Pupil Premium funding allows us to offer instrumental lessons and a variety of enrichment activities, providing students with opportunities to explore and develop talents outside the regular curriculum.

Parents
We work closely with families to identify and support eligible students. If your child qualifies for free school meals or falls into any of the specified criteria, they may be eligible for this additional support. If your child has received free school meals in the last 6 years then they will be eligible for Pupil Premium Funding. If you have any further questions about eligibility for Pupil Premium or Free School Meals then please contact the school office.
School Impact
Your child’s success matters deeply to us, and transparency is key. We regularly assess the impact of Pupil Premium spending to ensure it effectively nurtures their progress and achievement. Below you will find our annual reports for how we as a school are utilising Pupil Premium Funding and the impact this is having towards outcomes for our young people.
We encourage you to reach out to us if you believe your child might be eligible or if you would like more information about how the Pupil Premium is utilised at Trinity. Together, let’s continue to create an inclusive environment where every child can flourish.
