Dear Parent/Carer,
Instrumental tuition at The Trinity Catholic School is provided by Our Lady of Lourdes Music Service. Over the past 11 years, the service has inspired over 6,500 students with the joy of music, and continues to offer exciting opportunities for our students in Years 7-13. Music is an integral part of life at Trinity, supporting our masses, concerts and musicals, with highlights like our vibrant orchestra, swing band, choirs, and instrumental groups.
We provide weekly instrumental lessons (shared or individual) carefully scheduled around your child’s timetable. Flexible 30-minute sessions are available, and our talented teachers tailor lessons to your child’s learning style, helping them join our ensembles as they progress.
Payments for lessons are now made through the Our Lady of Lourdes Music Service website. Our lesson prices are highly competitive, and instrument hire is available for a small fee. As a school, Trinity subsides orchestral instruments further, offering free shared lessons for children who qualify for free school meals or pupil premium.
At Trinity, we offer every student the chance to join extra-curricular ensembles – including orchestra, swing band, choirs, and instrumental groups – at no additional cost.
Instruments available for lessons include:
- Woodwind: Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Saxophone, Bassoon
- Brass: Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba
- Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
- Other: Piano, Singing, Drum Kit, Guitar, Bass Guitar
Lesson Pricing (per term):
- Individual lessons: £150
- Shared lessons: £75
- Group lessons: £50
- 30-minute lessons: £225
