This term, we welcomed our new Year 7 students with our very first Music Day, designed to help them settle into life at Trinity through the joy of making music together.
Moving from primary to secondary school is an exciting step, and music is a powerful way to bring students together, build confidence, and create a sense of belonging. Throughout the day, our new students took part in a series of fun, practical workshops led by specialist teachers. They explored a wide range of instruments – strings, brass, woodwind, and percussion – and began to experience what it feels like to be part of Trinity’s rich musical community.
Music at Trinity
At Trinity, music plays an important role in helping students grow academically, socially, and personally. Alongside a strong classroom curriculum with both Music and Orchestra lessons for Year 7 and 8 students, our extra-curricular opportunities give every young person a chance to find their voice and place within our community.
Access and Support for Every Student
We are committed to ensuring that every child can access music. Students entitled to pupil premium funding or free school meals are able to receive free instrumental tuition, helping to remove barriers at the very start of their secondary school journey.
