Our Year 7 students have been given the fantastic opportunity to take part in an initiative exclusive to Year 7. The Food Rangers scheme, which has been created by Asda, aims to tackle the increasing problem of food waste in the UK, and by taking part in the scheme, students will not only be helping the environment but could also help to save their parents and carers money too!
On Wednesday 29th September, Year 7 had a special assembly with Heather Turner, who is one of Asda’s Community Champions. Heather delivered an informative and inspiring presentation about the environmental impact of food waste, as well as an introduction into the Food Rangers scheme, which students will continue to work on during their Food and Nutrition lessons, as well as at home with their families.
