Over the course of lockdown, pupils from Year 7 have taken part in two art challenges.
The first challenge took place over Easter, pupils were given the theme of ‘close up’ and asked to take photos in response to that theme. There were some fantastically imaginative photos and it was great to see some pupil’s pets make a special appearance!
The second challenge tested their creativity by asking them to create a piece of art from a toilet roll! There were some highly creative entries. The winner was a very poignant VE day inspired toilet roll tube. Mrs Cole-Wright was extremely impressed with the way the pupil had used light to create the silhouette. She would also like to give a special mention to the creator of the toilet roll totem pole, which was inspired by the pupil’s trip to Canada.
