Year 12 Barcelona Trip

From Sunday 3rd to Thursday 7th February 2008 the Trinity School Geography Department, lead by Mr Carr, took fifty three AS Level students to the Spanish Resort of Lloret De Mar, northeast of Barcelona on the Costa Brava.

The students worked in small groups to collect data necessary for the completion of their coursework study. Their studies are based on the issues surrounding the reliance and impact of tourism, at two resorts along the Costa Brava; these studies account for up to one third of their final AS grade in Geography.

A selection of the student’s comments

The trip was really helpful for my coursework. It helped to build friendships with people and get to know them better

Year 12

It was a good way of learning fieldwork techniques and methods; enjoyable and fun!

Year 12

The trip was extremely worthwhile and was a fun way of gathering data for coursework. It motivated us to work harder in our coursework
