Visit to Jaguar Land Rover

On Thursday 22nd June, fourteen Year 12 Business students visited one of JLR’s production plants in Castle Bromwich.

They spent a valuable day taking a very informative tour around the plant where they experienced the state of the art production process of the Jaguar XE. They learned how and why JLR has become the number one car manufacturer in the UK.

Hands-On: Production Simulation and Robot Programming

It was fascinating to witness first hand JLR’s efficient lean production systems and the extent of automation taking place within the plant. The students also took part in a competitive production simulation and learnt how to program some of the robots used in the manufacturing process.

A Successful Shared Visit

We had the pleasure to share the visit with students from All Saints and Christ the King, which proved to be very successful.
