At the beginning of November, Nottingham Music Service hosted the heats of the annual Sing City competition. Joining almost 30 performers on the night, Trinity students competed against some exceptional young voices. A-Level Music student, Caitlin, successfully progressed through the heats and into the finals, which also included a one-to-one workshop with a local musical legend (and also ex-Trinity student) Rob Green.
On the night of the final, each singer performed two songs and the standard was exceptionally high! With so many incredible voices and so many musical genres represented, the judges had an unenviable task to select just two overall winners. We are very proud that Caitlin was selected as a worthy winner and has been awarded a solo performance opportunity at the Christmas in the City concert, taking place at the Royal Concert Hall.
Well done to all students for their hard work and commitment in preparing for the competition, and for performing so exceptionally!
