15th February, 2019

Trinity’s whole school show, Oliver!, was performed by a large cast over three nights in February.

The pupils were committed to making the show one to remember and it was a fantastic performance by all, including the very talented band.

Audiences were treated to the biggest chorus performance yet, with over 80 students taking part from Year 7, and a total of nearly 130 students involved in the production and performance of the show.

The energy and dedication of the performers were clear to see and it was wonderful to witness all the hard work and time spent rehearsing pay off on stage.

A huge Thank You from Miss White goes to everybody involved. Look out for the backstage video!

Behind the Scenes

Auditions took place in October and November, with pupils from all years going for various principal roles.

This year our Drama Interns took on an even bigger role, including Year 7 follow-spot operators, Year 12 stage managers and Year 13 lighting designers.

The ‘Dream Team’ were again on board with a whole host of helpers, including:

  • Mr Gillet – set design, set building and sound design
  • Mr Stevens – set, props and AV
  • Mrs Squires – Musical Director
  • Mrs Manderson –Vocal Director
  • Miss Sapiano – Assistant Director and choreography
  • Miss White – Director and choreography

A big thank you goes to all those supporting staff in the office, Textiles teachers in DT and the Trinity caretakers for their continued support and help with assembling the set.
