House Dance Competition

On Thursday 26th October, pupils from Year 7 to Year 10 took part in the House Dance Competition.

Each house – Arrowsmith, Barlow, Campion and Dalby – entered a selection of solo and group dances. All participants picked their own music and created the dances entirely on their own. They had been creating and rehearsing every Wednesday lunchtime since the start of the school year.

Unique and Entertaining

The styles performed were Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Street Dance. The dances were well presented and demonstrated some interesting and sometimes complex choreography.

It was a very difficult competition to judge because each house that entered had created something unique and entertaining. The dances were judged on performance skills and choreography. In third place were Campion, in second place Arrowsmith and the winners were Dalby.

Thank You and Well Done

Thank you to the students who came to be a supportive audience and to Mrs Parr and Mr Gillet for helping with the judging and organising. Well done to everyone who took part.
