Year 6 Transition

Mr Holt is the Transition Manager and coordinates the arrival of the new intake after the admissions in around May time. In July the City arranges two transition days where pupils visit the school and enjoy a range of lessons and experience life around the school. This is an enjoyable and exciting time for Year 6 pupils and important part of settling in and making a good start at Trinity.

The Emmaus Centre arrange an additional day for SEND pupils with a tour of the school and interviews with staff.

Some departments also arrange specific transition days, currently DT have some pupils in and music arrange days for pupils who have individual tuition.

There is a Parents’ Information Evening for all Year 6 parents in July each year (please see the school calendar for the date. Parents will also receive a written invitation). At this event parents / carers can find out about the school expectations and ethos, transport, meals, instrumental lessons, the Trinity Association (PTA) and other information as well as having the opportunity to purchase uniform.
