I hope you are well and have had a pleasant Easter Holiday.
You may have heard in the press recently that the Department for Education has developed a new system for distributing Free School Meals vouchers during this lockdown period. You may also have heard that this system has had problems handling the volume of orders that schools all over the country have been making to support their parents and carers.
I am pleased to tell you that the school has now been successful in ordering your vouchers and they should be with you very soon.
The vouchers are being sent out in two ways:
- Where we hold an email address for a parent/ carer, a 16-digit eCode and a link to the redemption website www.freeschoolmeals.co.uk will be sent. The recipient should follow this link to order vouchers for the supermarket of their choice.
- Where we do not hold an email address, vouchers have been ordered by the school and will be sent out in the post.
I would like to apologise for the delay in getting these vouchers to you but unfortunately, the problem has been entirely out of the school’s hands.
