Attached are photos of some Year 10 students who went to Bilborough foodbank today to donate food that they have collected. 10L1 had to prepare an Act of Worship based on the theme of “Example”. Pupils decided to set an example by collecting tins of food and toiletries. They then shared their idea through an Act of Worship which was delivered to Year 10. As a result, more pupils and staff added to the collection.
When we donated this morning, staff were extremely grateful and thanked our pupils for their support. They said that they are desperate for food donations at the moment, in particular tins of food, packets of pasta/noodles, toothpaste, shower gel, cereals. Bilborough foodbank is located in the Community Centre at Bilborough Library, just off the high street. The foodbank is open every Wednesday and Friday between 10am & 12pm.
