UPDATED End of Term Arrangements 2020

UPDATED 17-12-2020

Dear Parents and Carers,
I am hoping this will be my final letter before we break up for Christmas and it is just a couple of updates regarding the end of term and the Christmas Break.

COVID reporting
If your child tests positive for coronavirus at the start of the Christmas break you will probably be directed to contact school for track and tracing. There are two scenarios:

– If your child develops coronavirus symptoms on or before Sunday 20th December and returns a positive test result please contact the school using the email address below

– If your child takes a test on or before Sunday 20th December and returns a positive test result again please contact the school using the email address below

For any coronavirus cases after these dates, it is unlikely you will need to contact the school.

Buses for Friday 18th December
We have worked with our bus companies to get alternative buses for our early finish on Friday:

– 218 and 650 will be departing at 13.25 and 14.25

– Due to staffing shortages at NCT they will not be able to run special services for the A1 and A2 so the advice is to use alternative public services including the 77 and 35.

Once again I would like to wish you a safe, peaceful and happy Christmas.

Yours faithfully
Matt Shenton

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for all your support over this challenging term and now the Christmas break is in sight. It has been a shame that we have not been able to hold so many events and activities that are a big part of our school such as Prize Giving and the Christmas Concert, however, it feels that there is a brighter future on the horizon. Alongside this letter please find the letter from James McGeachie the CEO of our Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.

School Christmas Dinner
We will be having our school Christmas lunches next week, with a turkey or Quorn roast and all the usual trimmings. The dinner will be £2.50 and students who qualify for free school meals will be able to use their account to pay for the dinner as normal. It will be served on different days for different year groups:

Year 7 and 8 on Tuesday 15th December
Year 9 and 10 on Wednesday 16th December
Year 11 and 6th Form on Thursday 17th December

End of Term Arrangements
All students are expected to attend school as normal on Friday 18th December however school will be finishing slightly earlier in line with the current staggering of our school day:

Year 7 and 8 will leave at 1.15 pm
Year 9 and 10 will leave at 1.00 pm
Year 11 and 6th Form will leave at 2.10 pm

We are working with the bus companies to provide an adjusted service on this day and will be in touch with further details if needed.

I would like to wish yourselves and your families a save and happy Christmas.

Yours faithfully
Matt Shenton
