On 11th September, Will Gompertz, the BBC Arts Editor, visited the Trinity Music Department to film a news piece on music provision in state schools. The production team spent the day experiencing music lessons, orchestra lessons and interviewing staff and students. There was also a very special performance by the Kanneh-Masons before the family spoke about the important role of Trinity in the students’ development
As the cameras rolled around the school, the BBC team complimented the school on its investment in music education, with honourable mentions for the orchestra lessons which allow all students to learn an instrument at Key Stage 3, and the continuity of further study options such as GCSE and A-Level Music.
We hope to welcome back Will Gompertz as our guest speaker for the prestigious Prize Giving event later this year.
