Advent Liturgy 2020

On Wednesday 2nd December we streamed our Advent Liturgy LIVE from Trinity Sports Hall! Our Year 7 Chaplaincy Team stayed after school to prepare, setup and deliver the liturgy and worked incredibly hard.

Our liturgy was split into four sections, themed on the four weeks of Advent. Our Hope group went first and led us in a short guided reflection on the Nativity Story and how it brings us hope. Peace then took centre stage, with a liturgical dance to the song ‘Peace has come’ which was beautiful and brought tears to the eye.

Third came Joy and a reflection on how we can bring others joy in Advent. This group talked to us about Carlo Acutis, the young Saint, and also CAFOD and Missionary Discipleship, to show us how thinking of others can bring so much joy. Our Love group finished our liturgy with some time for viewers to speak to those that they love, and to spend time with them. They also led us in some prayer time which was lovely.

Overall the liturgy was a huge success, and is available to watch back below! We are so proud of the 24 students who worked hard to make the liturgy so incredible, and we know their futures as faith leaders in the community are bright. Thanks to everyone who watched and joined in too!
