The Trinity School Show Band stepped up their preparations for the new season with three training weekends during April and May at Beaumanor Hall in Loughbourough.
The band have been hard at work learning the music for their new show 'Cool Britannia' which features some of the most popular Brit Pop music, including pieces from David Bowie, Queen and Take That.
Work and Play
During each weekend, the band's hard work, sometimes rehearsing for ten hours each day, was rewarded with fun social activities in the evening such as an Easter egg hunt and a disco. However, the most popular entertainment was a live performance from one sixth former who sang to the rest of the band along with his guitar.
With only six weeks to go until the first competition, Spotlight on Youth, at Harvey Hadden stadium and ten weeks until they go on tour in France, the band are continuing to put in the hours on the rehearsal field in the hope of producing a show that will lead them on another exciting and succesful season in the British Youth Band Association.
Well Done and Thank You
A big well done to all the band for their effort and dedication so far this season and thank you to all the staff and parents for their support over the weekends.
