The Strawberries and Cream Mixed Doubles Tournament
Tuesday 17th of July 2012 saw some very famous tennis players at Trinity to play in the first ever Strawberries and Cream Tournament.
We had Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Juan-Martin Del-Poutro, Ivan Lendl, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Pat Cash, Andre Agassi, James Blake, Boris Becker, Billie Jean King, Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azrenka, Ana Ivanovic and Serena Williams.
The matches were a timed seven minutes tiebreak with each pair playing four games. After some close matches and some very good tennis, particularly from some of our younger pupils, the four teams with the highest number of points won went through to the semi- final. The semi’s were very close and then the final was won by Rafael Nadal and Ms Prout 11-7.

Thank You and Well Done
A big thank you to everyone who took part and dressed up, it was a great atmosphere and the weather was kind to us. Well done to the winners and we all look forward to next year when we can try to beat the defending champions!
