Year 13 Keep the Crown at the Staff V Pupil Tournament!
Wednesday 28th March saw the annual staff v pupil netball tournament held in the Sportshall, and what a fantastic night of netball it was!
Although the Year 11 girls failed to pull together a team, the staff compensated by fielding two teams and two Year 11s played for the Year 10 team.
A Fantastic Achievement
The night's schedule started off with the Year 12/13 team against Staff Team 1, with the 6th formers getting off to a good start, winning the first game 9 – 6. This continued throughout the night with some excellent netball played by a strong 6th form side who went on to win the competition overall with four straight wins.
This was a special achievement for the Year 13 girls, who have played in the tournament since Year 10, as they have taken the title every year. What a great achievement!

Second Place
The runners-up place was up for grabs by all three remaining teams throughout the night with all teams winning and losing games. After a strong win against the Year 10’s, Staff Team 1 secured the runners-up medals. Well done ladies!
Well Done and Thank You
A big well done to all those that took part and a special thank you to Mrs Parr who organised the event and managed to make it a success on the evening. Making these events happen year on year takes hard work and all of the staff and pupils who took part really enjoyed the event.

Good luck to the staff team for next year once those Year 13s have moved on! Wishing all of the Year 13 netball girls all the best for the future.
