Inter-House Piano Competition

On Tuesday March 6th, Trinity held its 7th annual Inter-House Piano Competition, organised by Mr. Cardwell and judged by Mr. Schofield.

The result was very close this year, with many excellent performances throughout the year groups. In summing up, Mr. Schofield commented on 'the high standard of performance and the obvious dedication of students within the school.'

Winners

Dalby House came first and, for the first time ever, there was a three way tie for second place between Barrow, Arrowsmith and Campion.

Well Done

Well done to all the students involved for an enjoyable evening with a representative from every house and year group.

Philosophy

There are many students in the school who play piano and, due to the nature of the instrument and lack of space, there are no musical ensembles within Trinity which cater for these students to participate in music making.

So that these students do not go unrecognised we have given them the opportunity to showcase their ability in the school via the Inter-House Piano Competition. This allows the students to represent their house and to earn valuable points for their team.
