The Angelus Project
On Thursday 15th September, at the Lincolnshire Showground, Bishop Malcolm called together 86 Catholic primary and secondary schools from the diocese, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland, to mark the end of the year of Catholic education that started with the Papal visit in 2010.
Throughout the year the diocese has been working on developing themes of sainthood, vocation, service, communication and prayer under the title The Angelus Project.
The liturgy was brilliantly led by Tom Baptist and the Reach 4 team from the Briars Youth Centre.

Dolce Voce
Trinity was one of three schools that performed songs before the liturgy began. Dolce Voce (the girls choir) sang first performing ‘As long as I have Music’. This was a debut performance for the girls outside of Trinity concerts and, although it was very daunting singing in front of 3000 people, the girls performed superbly, living up to their name Dolce Voce (sweet voices!)
A Year 11 student wonderfully accompanied the choir; a special thank you goes to him from Miss Buczok and the girls for stepping in last minute to play. As a result of his professionalism and high quality piano playing he has been appointed as the new pianist for Dolce Voce!
After the liturgy the girls, Miss Buczok, Mrs Squires, the accompanist and page turner, enjoyed lunch al fresco while being entertained by a student on the Ukelele.
