WW1 Relics for the History Department

A member of the public was so impressed with the work that the school does to keep alive the memory of those that fell in World War One, that he has donated some relics from the war to Trinity.

The history department at Trinity runs an annual fieldtrip to the World War battlefields and wargraves in France and Belgium. Take a look at this year's report and photos.

The Big Push

For their activity day this year, the whole of Year 8 reenacted the Battle of the Somme from 1916.

GCSE World War One Talks

The Year 10 GCSE History classes were recently treated to a 'guest speaker' in their History lessons.

Mr Stevens (from the DT Dept) brought in his own personal collection of World War One relics and artefacts. The items had been bought from antique shops and the internet, found by field walking or donated to him as gifts

Auschwitz

On Saturday the 10th of March 2007, Mr Rodgers, Miss Bosworth and Mr Howell accompanied a group of 27 Year 12 students to one of the most significant historical sites in the world - Auschwitz.

It was a moving and memorable experience for all who went.

Lincoln Castle

Year 7 students travel to Lincoln on a combined History and Geography trip. They study the castle and the distribution of shops in the town centre.
