Year 7 Castle Building Challenge
As part of their study of Medieval Britain, Year 7 History students were set the challenge of building their own castle.
The only rules were that the type of castle built had to be one studied in lessons, such as a Motte and Bailey, Stone Keeps, Round Towers and Curtain Walls, and that it must be historically accurate. They could build it out of any material they chose, which made for some fascinating, adventurous and very creative designs!

High Standards
The pupils really enjoyed the challenge and the standard of castles was amazing. It was very difficult to choose a top three from each of the classes that took part.
All of the pupils should be very proud of their efforts and their great building skills will be an inspiration for the new Year 7s in September!
