DT - Food Technology

Year 9

Pupils gain of knowledge of food production methods and the use of CAD and CAM in the food industry. They increase their knowledge of nutrition and healthy eating using the Eatwell plate and improve their design skills through the modification of basic recipes. Using meat, fish, fruit and vegetables they produce a variety of sweet and savoury products such as shepherds pie, fruit gateaux, fish cakes and savoury pasties.
