Performance Studies at Wollaton Hall
On March 25th 2012, the Year 12 Trinity Performance Studies students put on a show at Wollaton Hall.
As part of the Year 12 assessment, the Performance Studies students have to create a site-specific performance for an out of school venue. The chosen venue was Wollaton Hall with the theme of ‘Caring for the Environment’. The performance was aimed at the young children who visit with their families.
Those who know Wollaton Hall will remember all the animal exhibits which helped to inform the subject matter of the students' piece. The piece was based around four different environments which were depicted in a giant picture book created specially for the project.
Our students choreographed, composed and scripted the performance to include audience participation, simple songs and actions, questions for the kids to answer and some educative content as well.

With many costume changes and colourful props the performances kept large audiences entertained and was very well received by everyone. The girls showed real engagement and energy, with performance flair and a great sense of communication with their audience.
