Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Three Day Training Expedition
From Friday 6th to Sunday 8th May, twenty six Year 10 and twenty seven Year 11 students completed an expedition across Sherwood Forest. The expedition forms part of the training for their Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award. The pupils had been planning their route for a number of weeks.
The expedition involves walking around 35km across two days carrying everything they eat, wear and sleep in. They pitch their tents and cook for themselves for the weekend. They will be assessed by an external assessor in September in the White Peak area in the Derbyshire Dales.
